    How does it work?

    For years, fat-freezing (cryolipolysis) has been successfully used to reduce fat deposits on the thighs, hips, belly, buttocks, love handles, double chins and enlarged breasts on men‘s chests. The targeted removal of energy by fat freezing causes the destruction of fat cells. The complete breakdown and removal of fat cells the natural way through the lymphatic system takes about 10–12 weeks. Since the surrounding tissue does not respond to the cold treatment in the same way as fatty tissue, the treatment is considered safe, gentle and non-invasive.
    The highly innovative ZLipo system makes it possible to target fat depots and reduce them permanently and non-invasively. This method cools fat deposits over a longer period of time to a controlled and safe temperature range.     Preparation

    Because this procedure has required no forms of anesthesia, no incisions, and no downtime, there is very little preparation that is required. We recommend that patients stay hydrated before and after their treatment as it will help to facilitate the best results. It is also important that patients maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen to ensure the body is working at it’s best.

    Recovery

    After the Z Lipo treatment, patients will be able to return to their daily routines immediately. There is no downtime whatsoever and patients will feel little to no discomfort. We do recommend that patients walk immediately after the treatment to enhance lymphatic drainage.
    If patients experience any redness or warmth, this is completely normal and will dissipate within one to two hours following their treatment.

    We ask that our Z Lipo patients understand that the results will not be immediate; they can begin to see improved contour after several weeks. We recommend that patients receive between four to six treatments spaced apart in order to obtain optimal results. After the treatment sessions are completed, patients will see a significant decrease in fat cells throughout the treatment area. Many patients can see results in as little as two weeks of their final treatment session. This may vary from person to person depending on the rate that their body destroyed and metabolizes the fat cells.
    The results are long-lasting because the fat cells are being destroyed and removed from the body. It is advised that patients maintain a proper diet and exercise regime after their treatments to ensure the longevity of the results.

      Z Lipo is easy and painless. Treatment to a single area takes approximately 20-30 minutes. During treatment the Z Lipo handpiece is constantly gliding over the skin in continual arcs and circles. The treatment feels like a warm roller ball floating over the skin’s surface. No pain medication or numbing cream is necessary.

    • How many Z Lipo treatments are recommended?

      A series of treatments is recommended. Z Lipo is typically performed as 4-6 sessions spaced two to four weeks apart, depending on whether skin tightening, fat reduction, or a combination of both is being targeted.

    • Is there any downtime following a Z Lipo treatment?

      Not at all. Unlike many other skin tightening devices, there is no downtime following treatment with Z Lipo. The skin appears normal and without inflammation after treatment. The skin may feel slightly warm to touch or pink for several minutes following treatment.

    • What kind of results will I expect to see?

      While it is proven effective as a fat removal method – Z-Lipo is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. Instead, it is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. While the results are not as dramatic as those seen from traditional liposuction-type surgery – they are still considered outstanding and impressive for a minimally-invasive, non-surgical procedure.

    • Is there any side effects?

      Adverse effects from Z Lipo are uncommon and mild in nature. Mild redness or a hive-like reaction is possible but rare.       Yes. Exilis is an excellent complement to Ultraformer 3, a robust ultrasound device used as a nonsurgical alternative to deeper tissue tightening. Exilis may also be combined with Protégé Elite during the same treatment, another radiofrequency device that best targets crepey, superficial skin changes. Patients that have undergone liposuction may also benefit from a series of Exilis treatments following surgery to encourage further skin tightening and enhance the body contouring effects of liposculpture. Typically, botulinum toxin injections such as Botox, Xeomin or Dysport are avoided on the same day of treatment. Fillers such as Juvederm or Sculptra are best completed at separate visits.
